Densmore
NEGAUNEE - Edward L. Densmore, age 67, of 127 Neejee Road, Negaunee
Township, passed away January, 28, 2004 at his home with his wife and family at
his side.
Ed was born November 4, 1936 in Bird Lake, Hillsdale County, Michigan. He was
the son of Arthur and Nina (Landel) Densmore, who preceded him in death. He was
a graduate of Waldron High School in 1955, then served in the United States
Marine Corp from 1955-58. He married Mary Sexton on October 3, 1959 in Waldron,
Michigan.
Ed worked for the M&S Morenci Corporation in Morenci, Michigan for 20
years. He then moved to Kalkaska, Michigan where he worked at Alken-Ziegler,
Kai Screw and Turtle Creek Casino until retiring in 1998. Ed and Mary moved to
Negaunee in 2001.
He was an avid sportsman through and through. He hunted deer, bear, small
game and loved to fish and trap. He raced motorcycles for over 30 years. He was
a life member of the North American Hunting Club, National Rifle Association
and the American Motorcycle Association.
Surviving are his wife, Mary, a son, Rory (Marie) Densmore of Waldron,
Michigan, daughters, Deanna (James) Dunn of Negaunee, Michigan and Bonnita
(Kurt) Reinking of Royal Oak, Michigan. Also surviving are his sister, Donniece
(Jim) Corley of Tucson, Arizona and grandchildren, Evan and Nick Brooks, Jamie
and Sawyer Dunn, Jacob and Joshua Reinking.
Cremation has taken place with no services planned at this time. A memorial
service will be held at a later date.
A Memorial will be established in Ed's name at the Motorcycle Hall of Fame
Museum in Pickerington, Ohio at the request of the deceased.
The Koskey Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
