Aubrey K. Douglass, age 83, of rural Camden, Michigan passed away Thursday,
March 25, 2004 at Harborside Healthcare of Northwest Ohio in Bryan, Ohio. He
was born December 1, 1920 to Nelson and Carma (Reeves)Douglass. He married
Velma (Balis) Taylor on October 26, 1963 in Waldron, Michigan and she preceded
him in death on December 18, 1994. He then married Lila Lusk and she survives.
Aubrey was a life long farmer of Amboy Township, graduate of Waldron High
School Class of 1937, U.S. Army Veteran serving in Italy during WWII, member
of Pioneer Nazarene Church and past member of Wright Township Mens Chorus.
Surviving Aubrey besides his wife, Lila of Hudson are four step-children,
Clyde (Ann) Taylor of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, Roger Taylor of Stockport, Ohio,
Kay (James) Stewart of West Unity, Ohio and Denise (Doyle) Miller of Jasper,
Michigan; twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one sister,
Thelma (Bernard) Hugg of Bryan, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents,
first wife, Velma and two brothers, Donald and Lynn.
Funeral services for Aubrey Douglass will be Monday, March 29, 2004 at 11:00
a.m. at the Pioneer Nazarene Church with Pastor Mike Dunson and Pastor Wayne
Sweely officiating. Interment will follow in Waldron Cemetery. Visitation will
be Sunday, March 28, 2004 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home
in Hudson.
