Pauline
E. Baker, age 89, of Center Street, Waldron, passed away Wednesday, April 14,
2004, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility in Adrian. She was born May 29, 1914, in
West Unity, Ohio, to Merlin and Hazel (Betzer) Ray. She married Jack O. Baker
October 5, 1932 in Defiance, Ohio, and he preceded her in death April 1, 1979.
Pauline was a life long Waldron area resident. She was a member of Munson
United Brethren Church, Waldron Kitchen Band and past vice president of the
Women's Mission Fellowship.
Surviving Pauline are one daughter, Nancy (Dr. Gordon) Fish of Brooklyn; two
sons, Marion (Corene) Baker of Mendon and Merlin (Mary Lou) Baker of Bryan,
Ohio; two sisters, Dorothea Kuney of Livonia and Donelda VanDoren of Seneca;
one brother, Donald (Dorothy) Ray of West Unity; 12 grandchildren; 22
great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one grandson, David
Baker.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 17, at the Eagle Funeral
Home in Waldron with the Rev. Paul Webster officiating. Interment will follow
in Waldron Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 16,
2004.
